Responding to persons in distress has long been an honorable and charitable tradition. The professionals in Search and Rescue have carried on this tradition of helping others by dedicating their time, information, skills, equipment and funding to the relief of the suffering.

“Training Today, Saving Tomorrow” is our motto. The Mission of SAR156 is to make available trained volunteers to assist any Emergency Service Agency in SAR operations. It our Vision to be the primary Search and Rescue Organization for all SAR missions in Monmouth and Ocean Counties of New Jersey. SAR156 will also be available to assist all other SAR teams within the state of New Jersey upon request .
